My First set of images
These photos were taken using my iPhone on Praa Sands in Cornwall. I concentrated on using my camera pointing down and looking at the sand and recording the textures, shapes and patterns. The sunlight has really picked out the changes in the sand and I am very pleased with the effect of this.
These pictures are very different to Jan Groover but I have been thinking very much about the importance of the quality of light when taking photographs and this is something I can identify in my photos here. These images have not been post-processed in anyway although I did use the iPhone HDR when taking the photographs. This has added qualities of colour and tone to the pictures when compared with those taken without HDR turned on.
I will take this idea onwards by creating more sets of close up photos around other themes and I will also look at ideas of processing one of these images towards a more metallic look like the work of Peter Keetman.
