preparing for my final piece in this unit
EXAMPLE 1 -
After looking at the work of Giacomo Brunelli and Michael Bosanko I have decided to create a set of photographs using light trials and close-up photographs. I am planning to create a really dark, spooky feel to my work which is influenced by Brunelli's moody black-and-white photos of London. I want to use light trails to light my subject and will use a mobile phone to trace light across my subject matter. The subject will be computer parts and I want to create a feeling of data flying around the circuit boards inside the computer.
I will take a set of images as described above and develop the idea further of overlaying images to make a complicated set of half-seen images. This idea comes form my earlier experiments around the photo of a poster.

EXAMPLE 2 -
After looking through my work I have decided to explore the idea of layering images and using opacity to allow different layers to combine and create a new image. I have been inspired by the photography of Stephanie Jung. She works with urban landscapes and many layers of one scene to create a new image. I will take this approach with my beach/sand photographs and combine images in layers to from a new image. Having taken images around details of plants, trees and manmade objects I have come back to the sand/beach photos and I am pleased to see that these pictures offer great possibilities in terms of developing mysterious
I want to create a set of at least 2 images which will be decorative, abstract and challenging for the viewer and really stretch my skills and understanding of camera work, viewpoint and Photoshop. Using a combination of effects and image adjustments I will create images which reflect my memory of walking across the sand and how I saw the sun reflecting off the sand and it seeming almost metallic.
