Stephen McNally
- Stephen McNally is a British photographer and he is based in Liverpool. He creates dynamic images using a Lens Baby and other lenses.
- I have included some of Stephen McNally’s street images taken in Liverpool as they show a clear use of digital images and specialist lenses.
- I have read an interview with McNally and he finds a location and takes dozens of photos of the buildings, people and textures and then combines them to show his view of the place he was standing.
- McNally likes to show his work as an impression of a place like an artist when they paint a place as they see it. I want to take this idea into my work and try to capture a place by combining pictures of details, people in the place and the lighting in that place and then take those separate pictures to show the place as I see it every day when I pass through it.
